The Child And The Moon

Two little eyes
Followed the moon
Wondrous at its glow
Playing peek a boo

A smiling presence
In a dark, empty sky
Thrilled to see a friend
Following him in every bend

It slipped behind some clouds
And he hid behind the window
Slyly he stole a little peek
And there it stood, the little sneak

Gleefully he concluded
He knew why the moon did so
It is cos' he likes me
And I love him too
