The Weight of Emotions

Do you ever feel the weight of emotions,

Like a boulder on your chest?

A heaviness that leaves you frozen,

And unable to catch your breath?

Sometimes it's a joy that feels like lead,

Other times its sorrow that we dread,

But no matter what the feeling is,

It can feel like a ton, you see.

Love can lift us off the ground,

But heartbreak can bring us down,

And when anxiety takes hold,

It can feel like we're all alone.

The weight of emotions is a curious thing,

How they can make us dance and sing,

Or bring us to our knees in pain,

It's a delicate balance, this emotional game.

But we mustn't fear the weight we bear,

For it's a reminder that we care,

And though it may be heavy at times,

We'll carry on, we'll be just fine.
