The world of Puppets

Puppetry is a skill-based activity .

Puppeteer is an Artist who weaves magic through hands while making the puppets,

And by giving different voices makes the puppets alive.

The hard work put while making a puppet is tiresome but he or she does it with love.

It's amazing to see how paper puppets, cloth and wood puppets come to life in the hands of the puppeteer. 

Uses of recycled materials is awesome, 

So easily by using old newspapers, clothes, pieces of wood and foam can be transformed into talking and moving puppets by his master.

Its and amazing Artistic talent.

I got a chance to attend a workshop and how amazing was the madam teaching us to make puppets.

We completed 3 days workshop and made a string puppet and glove puppets. 

It was fun but the process of making it needed too much of hard work.

But the interesting part was when madam displayed a scene of two children going to school for the first time,

Their emotions, the dialogue delivery, voice modulation was so superb that even as adults we enjoyed.

Then I thought how amazing it would be if the children get a chance to see such a show.

So ,many informations were possible to convey to others.

The puppets can be used to narrate a story, sing and dance, recite a poem, teaching good habits, values and yoga.

How our thoughts and ideas are conveyed to others through this medium of puppetry.

It was a wonderful experience. 

We can use it for fun and even to treat social issues, 

Highs and lows of life are nicely depicted by these puppets.

But the genius master behind the puppet is the one who changes his or her voice to suite the characters and create an interesting atmosphere and makes a grand show.

Really the do a great work similar to any hero or heroine. 

These traditional art form of India should be preserved and the young generations should come forward to learn this art form,

Which can be an item of low cost but effective in educating in schools, colleges, etc.

The puppets can narrate a scene from Ramayana even to nuclear science. 

Its depend a how the puppeteer uses it for their work.

It can be used by teachers to teach children which is a part of toy pedagogy and game pedagogy for children. 

Children love to play with toys, but a talking doll which the child can move as well as express his feelings will be a marvelous experience for the child.

So ,we should encourage our youths and young minds from a tender age to explore our traditional art and crafts and bring innovative changes and use those to different artistic endeavors. 

We should not forget those artists who resides in Indian villages and are not yet recognized by the people around.

 So , a humble request to all appreciate these artistic talents as you respect doctors, engineers and politicians. 

They are leading a simple life with limited resources, try to help them showcase their talents in public.

So, that they can live a good life and dedicatedly do their work.

Government should also take initiative to give them a good and healthy platform to continue their work and live a good life.

And today's youth by learning the art form preserve it from dying.

The skill these artist have is rare, its Indian legacy.

And the youths of the nation should carry it forward.

One day the world of puppets will be thankful to the young generations for conserving the different glove puppets, rod puppets, wood puppets, foam puppets ,string puppets, etc. , To keep them alive in every Indians hearts.
