Through a looking glass 

The secrets long buried uncover, 

Deep within, they contrast, all amass 

The unconscious traits I discover, 

How they dangerously surpass

How beautifully they recover.

An unknown essence in starry nights 

The unusual beauty, the strange truth, 

Intensely shaded, painfully dark sights; 

Thunderous waterfall from hands, the wasted youth 

The hidden flaws it highlights

Every moment played again the deep set untruth.

Gem studded in sands of time 

How trivial they now seem, 

The dreams left unfinished and sublime, 

Never fulfilled, the tears hidden now gleam 

The rhymes of sadness now chime

On the loss of another broken dream

Trapped in sand locks of memories 

Seeing through all I left, 

Within all replayed stories; 

Within all that irrelevant heft 

The strange discoveries

Through a journey in forgotten land's 

A wide spectrum of emotions, 

Through the looking glass; 

An array of lethal cognition
