UPROOTED DREAMS
UPROOTED DREAMS
In a clearing deep within the woods,
A mother tree stands tall and grand.
Her branches wide and arms outstretched,
Her roots dig deep where saplings lie.
With love and care, she nurtured them all.
From the tiny shoots, so small,
To the mighty trunks that rose up high,
Piercing through the blue carpet above
But alas, her joy was short-lived,
As men came in with greed and pride.
They uprooted the little green world without a care,
Ignoring the tears that from her eyes had run.
She's seen the signs of an impending fate.
As humans fail to heed the drum
Of warning sounds that echo deep,
And leave the planet a cursed land.
But her pleas were left unheard,
As greed and ignorance were preferred.
And the greedy hands continued to uproot,
Without a thought of the barren fate.
The mother tree knows in her heart,
She bears the cure for the earth so torn
And still holds the key to a future we can live.
Let the green-shady-future she designs thrive.
She still stands hopeful, with a fresh thought
That they will see the green future she carves.
Wise, choose to let her saplings live,
And restore the beauty that was once born.
