Wanderings of A Soul
Wanderings of A Soul
Alone I tread, with steps both light and fleet,
Upon a journey far, and oh so sweet.
A path that's mine, and mine alone to take,
With none to share my stories, none to make
The memories that I'll collect along the way.
But though I'm solo, I'm not here to stray
From all that life has to offer, all its gems
That sparkle bright, and call to me, and call to them.
I'll wander roads that few have ever known,
And marvel at the sights that I have shown,
To me, and me alone, in all their splendor
And I'll be filled with joy, and peace, and wonder.
The silence of the road, and sky above,
Will be my only company, my only love,
And in the stillness of my solitude,
I'll find the strength to push, and push on through.
For traveling solo, is not to be alone
, But to be master of your fate, and captain of your own,
With all the world to see, and explore, and know,
And so I'll journey on, and make my way, and go.
With every step I'll leave behind my fears
And find new courage, new horizons, new careers
For though I'm solo, I'll never feel alone
For I'll be with myself, and that's where I've always known I'll be home....
