Way To Knowledge

Books are my world, so many writers,

So many themes, stories, poems.

Opening a world of knowledge, of wisdom,

The bookshelf has all the authors you want;

Fiction, nonfiction, a world full of wonder,

Has also within its shelves, an array of books.

Arranged in order of appearance, its writers,

Telling stories, of happiness, sorrow,

Transporting us into a land of love, loss,

Of mystery, of adventure, of great stories.

Of master of theatre Shakespeare,

Master of detectives Sherlock Holmes,

Mistress of mystery Agatha Christie,

Of master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock,

Or the master of fiction Irving Wallace.

They are all there, within its shelves.

Hiding in its embrace, a world of knowledge.

Masters of poetry, Shelly, Keats, Byron, Pope,

Wordsworth, read as they weave their

Words in mesmerizing poetic expressions.

The world of H.G Wells, Jules Verne,

Of Arnold Toynbee of their vision;

So as I explore the world of bookshelves,

I am confused as to which book to read,

Then I decide it makes no difference,

For I know that every page,

Is a way to wisdom, a way to knowledge.
