Week 25 Grandparents

Life is a journey,

Embarking at a station, setting life in motion, chugging away, cooing away,

Counting milestones.

Suddenly you wake up in the lives compartment, the experiences you gather,

You begin to wonder!!

One fine morning,

At the end of this journey, you have earned valuables,

You have been rewarded,

With tiny tots, in your lap, called grandchildren.

Singing lullabies, reading stories,

To little ones in cribs, in gardens.

With grey hairs, wrinkled skin,

Twinkling eyes, your sweetest smile,

Are enough to soothe the little ones.

Grandparents are wonderful guides, sweet companions,

At the time of need.

Their experiences will save you from falling into dangerous pits, unseen roads,

They are the banks of valuable information,

From where you can withdraw the mint,

Showing in your eyes a teary glint.

Deep in their unfathomable heart is, the treasure trove of Love.

Blessed are those, who live long to be grandparents.
