Whispers in the Stillness

In the stillness of the night,

When the world is at its quietest,

I hear a whisper in my mind,

A voice that's often voiceless.

It speaks of love and loss,

Of hope and fear and pain,

Of all the things that make us human,

And all we stand to gain.

It tells me of the beauty,

In the simplest things we see,

Of how a single act of kindness,

Can change a life and be.

It reminds me of the power,

That lies within our hearts,

To shape the world around us,

And make a brand new start.

And so I listen to this voice,

And let it guide my way,

For in its words I find the strength,

To face another day.
