Why So?

Substantial indeed yet neglected Irony of humankind,

Abduct a girl child: let alone a son generate mankind,

Female foeticide practice carelessly, 

Exalting females for nights nine scrupulously,

Needless to say why education for a girl,

But demand an educated daughter in law girl,

Even if literate, ultimately handle roti and rice,

The first question to ask then tie a knot wise,

She is not allowed on roads late night single, 

But huge witness wedding with a stranger mingle, 

First child if girl, why not try for a boy,

Medically females have XX, males have X and Y,

Breastfeed or bottle-feed, solely a mom's choice,

Why a toxic society has to unnecessarily raise its voice?

What's so manly to call off patriarchy,

A woman should be the supreme hiarchy,

She gives birth, raises a family, instills everything in her him,

Even before eyes see the world, bearing every whim,

Sewing, knitting, cooking, working, tackling household chores,

Why so judgemental if she wallows in seashores,

Let equally be a boy or a girl grow,

Wish everyone understand my sis and my bro,

Intellectual upbringing is the need of the hour,

Not others but win an internal existing war.
