Wishful and Positive Thinking

If all the good people were clever,

And all the clever people were good,

The world would be wiser than ever,

And life simpler than it possibly could be,

But somehow this ideal situation is seldom or never,

Because the two areas stubborn and adamant as ever,

The good are so harsh and indifferent to the clever,

And the clever so rude and arrogant to the good,

That the idea of a utopian world is a distant dream andreality!
