Within Me
Within Me
More I ask for stoicism,
painful the journey become.
Giving me a blow to overcome it though
Resilient I became and persistence to go.
More I asked for steadiness,
Tottering the path becomes.
Shattering me deeply, it has to pass
Firmness I hold to be strong.
More accerscence I demand,
Hurdles grip me even more.
Crossing them becomes my goal.
Sometimes I fall, but then learnt to stand tall.
More I asked for a camaraderie,
Desolation surround me more.
Then I had none but me.
And learnt to eventually embrace solitude.
All the tranquility I demanded,
Dalmatic the torment became
I struggled to be sane and learnt to be serene.
More I asked for happiness,
Agonies came the way
Reminding me of my piousness.
Ironical this may sound
But I learnt to find everything I asked for
WITHIN ME
now I don't ask for contentment
I create it
