The walls, the streets, the clock at the square,
Have witnessed all the worldly snares.
They were here when children filled the air,
With their voices so cheerful, a lovely affair.
They all walked together, short or tall,
Frisbee, hula hoop they had them all.
They laughed, they ran, they chased, they played,
Hide and seek till they saw the sun fade.
The walls, the streets, the clock at the square
Have witnessed all the worldly snares.
They were here when the sound of gunshots filled the air,
Silenced every soul that cried of despair.
Determined to kill everyone big or small,
Grenades, machine guns they had them all.
They laughed, they ran, they chased, they played,
With blood and death, serenity was erased.
