Woman - 3
I am a homemaker, I am happy to say,
Inspite of a flourishing career, at home I chose to stay.
What brought about this paradigm shift, you ask me?
It was the fear of my child creche brought up, I am sure most of you will agree.
I am a homemaker, as proud as proud can be,
No job satisfaction can be greater than this, I guarantee.
Working all odd hours, without any break or a pay,
It requires great organisational skills at your display.
I am a homemaker,
Tending to my family’s needs
The day goes in preparing innumerable feeds,
Rushing through the chores all day long,
In my heart, I know this is where I belong.
I am a homemaker, as bright as a lark
On this front now I have to make my mark.
Up at the crack of a dawn,
I get down to work, humming a song.
I am a homemaker, in love with my family,
The day goes in looking after them happily.
It’s a choice I have made with a lot of thought,
Warm cuddly hugs from my dear ones in my kitty it has brought.
