You Will Live
You Will Live
It was supposed to be the best day of my life
You were gonna come
But you didn't.
For a minute
I thought I've lost you
Forever.
But, then again
My love wasn't so weak.
I remembered the last winter I saw you
With the blush of roses in your cheeks,
Your fire like hair,
Your dazzling eyes in which my heart burnt
And your memorising smile.
Few days later the news came
You had actually abondoned me
And we're never to come back.
Not only me,
You had abandoned the whole world
You had abondoned the park where we first met
You had abandoned the place where we first kissed
You had abandoned the body I caressed with love.
I did not cry
Instead I thanked God
For having you in my life
For having you there to back me up
For having you to teach me the meaning of love
And for protecting you in heaven.
I never shed a tear for you
For you taught me to stay strong
But my life bled of all its meaning.
You know you still live
In the faded ink of the letters,
In the wrecked park,
In the imprints of you in my body
And my burning heart.
You still live in me
For I am a reflection of you
And until I turn into ashes,
You will live.
