For choosing fuschia over black,

For listening to opera and not raps,

For choosing puppets over bikes,

For painting nails that he bites,

For being a disgrace to the mainstream,

For failing to love,

For being unlucky in love,

For failing to control,

For being too naive to behold,

For driving, for thriving, for agonizing.

For failing to fight like a man

For failing to know how it feels to be a woman or a man

For being black, for being white,

For being queer,

For being colourless inside out,

For giving a fuck, for not giving a fuck, for forgiving a fuck,

For choosing to work,

For not choosing to work,

For choosing flowers on bedsheets,

For baking cookies on a sunday,

For waking up to bad dreams,

For sleeping, for not sleeping, for keeping on sleeping......

Blades peeled his skin, inch by inch,

and acids burnt him down, little by little

Both failing to seep within.

It's clichéd to mention

It's cowardice to have a plight.

In the land of humiliation
