Akhil with Kushi

Ponnuswamy, a respected villager in Meenakshipuram sends his son Akhil(Bangalore ASP, off-duty) to his close friend Narayana Lal's house in Chennai in order to change his son's mindset.

Akhil initially disagrees and argues with his father. But, he later accepts when his friend Sakthi agrees to accompany with him.

They lands in Chennai and while on the way, Akhil sees a youngster messing up with a girl by pranking her. He slaps him.

The youngster says him, "Hey. Are you slapping me? You know who am I. I am the son of Kodampakkam Inspector."

Hearing this, Akhil slaps him again and tells him, "You know who are we both. ASP of Chennai. Got transferred to this place. Mind it."

Sakthi is confused with the conversation of Akhil. However, Akhil says him that, "He would unveil the matter later on and asks him him proceed with him. Since they have a lots to do."

In Narayana's house, he asks his accomplishes and workers to invite his guest Akhil grandly to which, his mother and wife Madhuri Singh smiles.

When they say Akhil's look(with moustache, light beard and army hair style), they are very happy and invites him into the house.

After some talks, Sakthi and Akhil fresh up themselves and plans to leave for a work.

Narayana Lal stops them and asks, "Stop Akhil. The very First day, where are you duo going?

"There's an important work for us uncle in the Airport. Hence, we are going" said Sakthi.

"Hmm. Akhil. You duo are going to Airport right. My daughter Kushi is coming from Bangalore. Can you pick her up in your car?" asked Narayana Lal.

"Uncle..." Said a hesitant Akhil. However, Sakthi tells him that, "They will pick her up in their car."

Akhil looks at him in vexation and hits him in his leg.

"What happened, Sakthi?" asked Narayana Lal.

"Nothing uncle. I accidentally hit the floor" said Sakthi.

"Hit the floor or got hit" said Madhuri and Narayana's mother.

"Ok. We will take a leave, uncle" said Akhil and they takes an exit.

While going, Sakthi asked Akhil, "Why was you reluctant to take Kushi in your car da?"

"You don't know. You know my drastic past as well as that, I didn't like Kushi" said Akhil.

"Hey. Are you still thinking about the childhood fight, that you had with Kushi?" asked Sakthi.

"I have forgot that da. But, I try to distance myself from her" said Akhil.

In Chennai Airport, Akhil meets a police officer named DSP Prabhakar IPS. The duo talks with him seriously. At the same time, Kushi's flight arrives and she comes with her suitcase(with a beautiful and cute face, glimpse eyes and innocent smile).

She sees Akhil and Sakthi. She recognizes Akhil as his father's close friend Ponnuswamy's son and goes towards to meet him.

However, she stops when she saw DSP Prabhakar and Sakthi. Since, they were talking seriously, Kushi waits.

Sakthi sees her at a nick of time and alerts Akhil. Seeing her, they gets her suitcase and gets her into the car. They drops her in Narayana Lal's house.

Kushi have a surprise from Narayana. He tells her that, she is going to get engaged with Ranveer, younger brother of MLA Raja Singh Lal in Chennai.

Their family comes to meet the family of Kushi. There Narayana introduces his family members, one by one to Ranveer's family.

Akhil and Sakthi, who comes to house tired sees Ranveer and both of them are shocked and stunned. Even Ranveer and his brother becomes shocked when they saw Akhil and Sakthi.

Ranveer and his brother asks them, "ASP Akhil and ASP Sakthi?" to which Narayana Lal replies them, "He is my close friend Ponnuswamy's son Akhil. This guy Sakthi is his adopted son. They are now off-duty due to some reasons"

"Oh. I see. We have already met so many times, right. You could have never forgot about your past life as a police officer right" said Ranveer, pointing to Sakthi and Akhil.

Both looks at him in vexation.

"Uncle. We are going to our room. I should take these duties in my shoulders. But, unable to do. I am sorry uncle" said Akhil to which, Narayana tells, "No problem. You both go and take rest pa."

Kushi is suprised with their behaviour. She follows them to their room.

Akhil takes a beer (which he have bought from a shop) and drinks it raw.

"Akhil. What are you doing da? Drinking it raw" said Sakthi.

"What da? You doesn't know anything. He was the one being a reason for our shattered life. Have you forgot? Haven't you forgot about your love interest Ishika's death? Do you remember my love interest Yaal's death? Have you forgot?" asked an angry Akhil. Hearing this, Sakthi too drinks and tells him, "I have not forgotten anything da. We suffered a lot, serving as the ASP of Bangalore. You lost Yaal, I lost Ishika and finally, our prestigious job."

"Do you know why did we meet DSP Prabhakar sir?" asked Akhil to which Sakthi replies, "For two causes: One to catch the drug mafia in Chennai. Other is to notice the criminal activities of Ranveer and his brother. As they are politically influenced, he asked us to work undercover. Besides your refusal to do, I convinced you and you accepted it."

"Let this be among ourselves. We shouldn't let it know to anyone, including my father" said Akhil.

Kushi, upon hearing these, gets shocked and decides to keep it by herself.

The next day, Akhil and Sakthi avoids Ranveer's family and proceeds to go outside for some works.

However, Ranveer is eager to have Akhil and Sakthi, in his marriage, besides their hesitance. As they are stubborn besides being requested by Narayana Lal, Ranveer reminds the duo about their lover's death, which irks them and they agrees to stay in the celebration.

Akhil and Sakthi remains upset the whole day. Upon noticing this, Kushi goes near to them and confronts Akhil.

She further tells them that, she very well knows about his undercover investigation as an IPS officer. But, she wants to know the reason for his anger against Ranveer.

Akhil asks Sakthi to tell her as he is not ready willing to recall his past tragic life again.

Sakthi unveils their past.

We both got selected in IPS training from Dehradun, the duo were posted in Bangalore as ASP.

There, we took down the gangsters ruthlessly and mercilessly. But, there the problem was not only about gangsters. But, also in the fields of Sand mining mafia.

Akhil learned from several people that, "Sand mining in rivers and lakes have made the place arid and dry for several years."

When investigated in further, I learned that, "those people are influenced politically." We were further warned by our senior police officer, JCP Joseph Fernando to stop investigating the case of Sand mining telling them both that, "He too investigated like this. But, the resultant fate that he met is tragic by losing his entire family."

Besides his warning, we proceeded with the case. Upon going through the case, we caught one of the Sand Mafia's henchman. Through him, we learned that, Ranveer and his brother Raj Singh were responsible for the mining.

Though, we were ruthless and dedicated to profession on one side, we were a true family guys in case of our love interests Ishika and Yaal, Akhil's love bird.

Balancing career with family is a challenge. But, we proved adept to it. As we were proceeding with the case and neared Ranveer, his close aid and henchman George came and met us.

He warned us not to proceed further with the case and threatened to kill our family. But, we beat him up severely and phoned Ranveer.

While he watched in the video, we killed George brutally for trying to threaten us. We framed it to be an encounter by charging him in a false case.

As they proceeded like this, Ranveer was wailing for revenge to his henchman's death. Since, he and his brother lost respect in Bangalore.

We ruthlessly took down the Sand mafia in Bangalore day by day. They felt threatened due to this. They landed to our house and met us with a group of henchman.

Raja Singh asked us to stop their action against Sand mafia, to which both of us refused stubbornly. Seeing to our stubbornness, Ranveer tells to Raja Singh, "Brother. Telling them kindly, will never work out. If we are harsh only, these police officers would fear to take action against us."

He further brings a tied up Ishika and Yaal(whom he kidnapped already). They are brought forward. Shocked, I tried to attack them and save Ishika.

But, I was hit in my head. When Akhil tried to save me, he too was hit in his head.

Ranveer told us, "Your's fate should be a lesson for other police officers, who step into their profession."

In-front of us, they killed Ishika and Yaal brutally to death. They were burnt by a gas leak, while we were put in the roads of Bangalore. Since, Ranveer wanted us to be alive.

After recovering, I and Akhil landed back to Coimbatore to meet his father. Akhil became a drunkard and in further, we were given off-duty by police department.

"At that time only, his father insisted upon sending him to your father's house for a change and as I convinced him, he agrees to come with me. We saw Ranveer now" said Sakthi.

Kushi is in tears when she heard about their past and she apologizes to Sakthi.

However, Akhil is seen drinking the alcohol as he heard about his past again. Akhil is taken safely by Sakthi to his room.

The next day, they takes a pendrive(in which they have uploaded about drug mafia, sand mining groups and their relationship with Ranveer and MLA Ram Singh Lal) and hands it to DSP Prabhakar IPS.

This is submitted to a few ministers by him. Feeling threatened, they orders him to get the duo arrested as soon as possible.

Now, Akhil tells Sakthi, "Hey. Let's wear this police uniform now da." At that time, Ponnuswamy too arrives and attends the marriage function of Kushi.

At that time, Sakthi and Akhil comes to the marriage hall in police uniform. Seeing Sakthi and Akhil in police uniform, all are shocked(including Narayana Lal and Ponnuswamy).

They are further shocked, when DSP Prabhakar insisted to arrest Raj Singh and Ranveer for indulging indulging several illegal activities of Sand Mining and Drug mafia.

Narayana is shocked that Ranveer and Raj are criminals.

In further, Prabhakar shows a CCTV footage of Bangalore(before years when they killed Yaal and Ishika) to all of them, which too shocks all.

Kushi too tells that, she knews about this and this shocks her family, a lot.

Being trapped, Raj Singh tries to hold Prabhakar as a hostage to escape(holding him with knife). Initially, not knowing what to do, Sakthi and Akhil co-operates them.

But, later Akhil takes a gun and shoots Raj Singh dead. Thus, they manages to rescue Prabhakar.

Ranveer is arrested by Prabhakar. However, in Narayana's family, his mother asks him, "Who will marry Kushi hereafter, as her marriage got stopped."

Narayana henceforth begs Ponnuswamy to get his son married to Kushi. In order to save his friend's honor and reputation, he asks Akhil to marry Kushi.

But, Akhil refuses and says him, "He cannot marry her since, he still thinks about Yaal."

However, Narayana and Madhuri begs him to marry Kushi. Akhil remembers his mother's words who told him, "We must accept, what we get." But, she isn't there now as she have died a few years ago.

When Kushi's parents tried to fall his feet, Akhil asks them not to do like such and reluctantly agrees to marry her.

He apologizes to Yaal's photo and as she too accepted by showering flowers, Akhil reluctantly marries Kushi. After the marriage, Akhil tells her that, "He have married her due to the family pressure and not out of love. He could never think of any others, replacing with Yaall."

In addition, Akhil asks Kushi to pretend like that, they are happier.

Upon hearing this, Kushi is heartbroken. Since, she loved Akhil. She meets Shakthi in tears, the next day and reveals everything.

Angered, Sakthi meets him and confronts about his mindset. However, Akhil tells to him that, "He have planned for divorcing Kushi."

Kushi also agrees and they meets a lawyer to consult about this. They agrees. But, puts a condition that, "Kushi and Akhil should live for one month together."

They agrees the condition. At the same time, Ponnuswamy suffers a heart attack(after following High Blood pressure and Backpains) and is hospitalized. Hearing the news, Kushi's father comes to the hospital in shock.

The doctors asked Akhil to take care of his father happily and he should not hear any sad or depressing news. Since, it may become danger to him.

He agrees to the request of doctors. Meanwhile, Ranveer(from prison) arranges North-Indian Bihari goons to finish off Akhil and his family(Including Kushi's family) as he have killed his brother.

Now, Ponnuswamy gets discaharged from the hospital. He tells to Akhil that, "He wanted to talk with him personally."

Ponnuswamy tells him, "How he wished to see Akhil happier and now he tells him that, he have to be happier with him" after which, an emotional Akhil hugs him.

After his duties, Akhil comes to home where, he is touched with Kushi's care taking nature and affection. Slowly, he begins to fall in love with her.

Meanwhile, Ranveer's henchman arrives at Akhil's house and kidnaps Kushi. Ponnuswamy was taking rest at that time.

Ranveer phones Akhil and challenges him to save Kushi reminding him about Yaall's death. Akhil and Sakthi are phoned by their close friend Aravinth, who tells them that, he have seen Kushi nearby his house being held a hostage.

He goes there. But, sees a brutally stabbed Aravinth. Aravinth tells them that, she have been shifted in a car and dies in Akhil's arms.

Angered a lot, Akhil and Sakthi goes forward to save Kushi and stops the car.

However, the goons try to kill Akhil and Sakthi. They injures Sakthi's arms. But, Kushi intervenes when they tried to kill Akhil and she gets a bullet injury.

Later, Kushi gets admitted in the hospital. Akhil is shattered a lot. However, she manages to recover. Later on, Narayana Lal comes and learns about the attack. As Sakthi proceeds to inform this to Ponnuswamy, Narayana and Akhil stops him and tells, not to do like such.

Akhil confesses his love for Kushi and they reconciles. After she recovered completely, one day(in valentines day) they goes for a round(after Akhil came back from his duties).

In a party, Akhil notices the foreign wine and insists to drink it. But, is noticed by Kushi.

Surprisingly, she herself takes the drink and after this, the duo comes to home. However, fearing for Ponnuswamy, they stay back. But, he have slept already, taking tablets.

While in the room, Akhil loses his stability and even Kushi loses her stability. He eventually strips her saree and they both make love that night.

The next day, Akhil goes back to his duty. He finds out from an Inspector that, "Ranveer is getting released through bail." He tries to warn Sakthi about this.

But, it's too late. Since, he is already stabbed by a vengeful Ranveer.

Akhil calls Sakthi, "Sakthi. Where are you now?"

"Sir. His phone was lying in the roads. That's why I took it" said Ranveer.

"Where was that phone lying?" asked Akhil.

"It was lying in Ambattur sir. No sir Chilmagaluru sir. No no no... Bangalore sir" said Ranveer.

"Ranveer. Don't joke with me" said Akhil.

"Oh! Found out. Are you such a police dog? That orphan...ah! Your close friend, Sakthi is dying slowly in Kodampaakam. Come and pick him up da" said Ranveer.

At the same time, Kushi vomits in her house and learns that, she is pregnant. She calls Akhil, who hangs her call continuously.

But, he sends an SMS to her telling her to be safer. Akhil manages to reach Sakthi. She too sms him about her pregnancy. He feels happier.

"Sakthi. Come da. Let's go to the hospital. Nothing will happen to you. Someone please come for help" said Akhil, carrying his body.

However, no one affords to help him and ambulance too took delay to come.

"Akhil. Safeguard our dad, da. Protect Kushi also da" said Sakthi.

"Nothing will happen to you da. I am there to save you" said Akhil.

"No da. Knife have went deeper. Even it's not paining. But, I miss a friend like you da. Don't leave that Ranveer, Akhil. Don't leave him" said Sakthi and he leaves his last breath, with a last drop of tear, coming from his eyes and a drop of blood from his mouth.

"Sakthi. Hey Sakthi. See me da. Talk with me da. Sakthi...why did you die da? Who is there with me now da? What will I say, if my father asks me about you?" Said a crying Akhil, (hugging his body.)

Ranveer now calls Akhil and tells him, "What Akhil? How did you feel now? Is it paining? Not only Sakthi da. I would kill Narayana Lal, Kushi and everyone who are related closely to you. Your end should be a lesson to all other police officers. Wait for the next surprise."

Kushi meanwhile, sees a news, which shows Akhil carrying Sakthi through roads to save him.

She calls Akhil and asks him, "What happened to Sakthi, Akhil?"

"He...he is...he is dead Kushi...he left us" said a crying Akhil.

Kushi cries louder on hearing this news. She silently reveals this to Ponnuswamy. Hearing the death of Sakthi, he faints and gets hospitalized.

Akhil too gets suspended from the police department, due to heavy pressures and even DSP Prabhakar is helpless.

Narayana arrives at the hospital and sees Ponnuswamy. He too is now heartbroken.

Ponnuswamy recovers. Narayana, Ponnuswamy and Akhil cremate Sakthi's body and later on, Akhil's father have a heated argument with him.

"Father" said Akhil.

"Never call me like such da" said Ponnuswamy.

"Pons. Cool down da. Your health is now bad. Don't strain yourself" said Narayana.

"Yes uncle. Kindly don't strain yourselves" said Kushi.

"Everyone please stop. I am talking with Akhil, right now" said Ponnuswamy.

"Hey. Because of you duo and this IPS job, Yaall and Ishika died. Now, he too died. Atleast, now you realize that this police job is painful and not suiting you" said Ponnuswamy, holding the shirt of Akhil.

"I still think this to be precious dad. You may tell that, police job is painful and risky. But, if they and army men are not there, we are not there and you too, can't go safely. Not only you, Narayana uncle, Kushi and many more" said Akhil.

"Stop it Akhil. Just stop it. You tell these many words right. Then I will give you time for two months. Within two months, catch and kill those, who were responsible for Sakthi's death. If any delay takes place in your mission, you have to resign your job. Prove your words through your execution process" said Ponnuswamy.

Akhil agrees and seeks his blessings while, Narayana asks him, "Are you senseless da? Why did you behave harshly with him?"

"I too have affection on him da. I motivated him to kill that Ranveer, actually" said Ponnuswamy.

Akhil rejoins his IPS department with the help of DSP Prabhakar and tracks down Ranveer's henchman. He kills them down all and slowly starts to take down everyone, related to Ranveer.

In retribution, Ranveer kidnaps Kushi and plans to escape for Arunachal Pradesh. But, while going, Akhil rescues Kushi and saves her.

Later on, he and Prabhakar traces Ranveer in a secluded forests of Talakona forest of Hyderabad.

There, Akhil is severely beaten up by Ranveer with a wood, while Prabhakar is tied up in a tree.

However, Akhil eventually gains upper hand and beats up Ranveer. He hits his hand and leg with an iron rod, in the same way, how he hit Ishika and Yaall. Then, he stabs in his leg in the same way, Sakthi got stabbed.

The next day, when media people ask about Ranveer's whereabouts to Akhil, he replies that that, "They are searching for him."

However, when Kushi(in home) asked, "what he had done to Ranveer?", he replies her, "I didn't do anything to him."

"Don't lie Akhil. Tell me the truth" said Kushi.

Akhil tells her that, "He and Prabhakar buried him alive in a cemetery box near to the Talakona waterfalls." He further tells her that, "His death would be a lesson for those who tried to loot resources and harm other people."

After a few months, Kushi suffers labor pain and is admitted in hospital. She delivers twins. Akhil and Kushi reunites happily with Narayana and Ponnuswamy, who apologizes to Akhil and reconciles with him. They all takes a photo...
