Always growing and learning 

So every day in the morning I speak to my girlfriend. We always talk about lessons we learned and how, even at this age, we are learning and growing.

I see so many people I know that have never looked into their past to see what they need to fix. 

Look, I get it. It's tough to take a deep, hard look into why you do what you do. Trust me we are all fucked up in some way. Some may have had lousy parents, or maybe it's abusive you suffered. Maybe it's a neglected childhood or alcoholic parents. Whatever it is, we have all suffered from some of it. No one came out of their childhood scott free.

Most people just shove it deep down, and they refuse to deal with it, but you can't bury your trauma. It's like oil, and it always eventually rises to the surface. Not dealing with it will make you drink or do drugs. It can make you overeat or be a people pleaser or an over spender or a gambler or even never having a good relationship. But trust and believe, it will surface as something else unless you address it. 

So why are so many people so afraid to take that first step? We are all screwed up, every single one of us! So why is it so hard to admit that? I can't tell you how many times I've been to therapy. Even my girlfriend, who has been to as much therapy as me and who I thought was good now. Recently, she said she is going back to fix an issue she hasn't resolved in her life. 

Even at this age and with all we've worked on, there is still more to learn or change. 

So today, my friends, I am here to tell you it's never too late. You're never too old to work on yourself. To change things and to learn lessons. It's never too late to admit that you're screwed up and that you need help.
