An European Gentleman and Sai Baba

Once a European gentleman from Bombay came to Shirdi to meet Sai Baba. He had an introductory note from Nanasaheb Chandorkar. He stayed comfortably in a tent. He wanted to kneel before Sai Baba and kiss His hand. Therefore, he tried to step into the Masjid three times, but Baba did not allow him to come in.

 He was asked to sit in the open court-yard below and take Baba's darshan from there. The European gentleman did not like this and wanted to leave Shirdi at once and came to bid good-bye to Sai baba.

 Baba asked him to stay that day and go the next day. People also requested him to follow Baba's instructions.

 But the European gentleman did not abide by all this and left Shirdi in a tanga that day itself. The horses ran all right for some time, but when Sawul well was passed, a bicycle came in front of them.

Seeing the bicycle coming towards them, the horses were frightened and ran fast. The tanga was turned upside down and the gentleman fell down and was dragged for some distance.  

He had to go and take medical treatment in Kopargaon hospital for the injuries he sustained. Because of such experiences, all people learnt the lesson, that those who disobeyed Baba's instruction, met with accidents in one way or the other. And those who abided by them were safe and happy!
