Before the Mirror

Based on prompt 10

There was something that bothered her all the time she stood before the giant mirror. She had heard people say that these mirrors foretell your elegance but she saw something that others failed to see through these mirrors. 

The mirror showed her vibrant face with an elegant smile. Her brown hair draped along the shoulders. Her eyes moved around in merriment. Her green eyes were wide and they looked stunning. She had few freckles on her forehead. Her lips shined and her pointed nose appeared a little odd. These things whatever the mirror showed was the same and it did not change her expression. 

Then there was this silhouette that showed the time when she was innocent, gentle, modest, generous and honest. The time when she was committed to her responsibilities. A past where people liked to be comfortable around her and she had the courage to accept her weaknesses. 

Now there she was with all these attributes changing with time. Walking away from commitments, faking herself to hide her weakness, people around her started walking away from her. 

The reflection of her inner beauty made her regret and wanted to change her ways.
