Canopy Of Stars

One of the years most exceptional moments was 5th April when people from all walks of life switched off their lights for 9 minutes at 9 pm and lighted earthen lamps and candles. Tia too lighted earthen lamps at her grandparent's house. The family sat in the veranda discussing the past and the present. The moon was in its respective horizon along with the canopy of stars, the celestial bodies made Tia rethink how beautiful the night sky appeared, whereby the family had an amazing time doing nothing being at home still contributing for a specific cause.

Tia thought It is a human tendency to complain a few days back her father too said he doesn't find enough time for his family and vocations on a normal day. Now when he is with family as well as has all the time he is mad and restless.

While her mother said she was too preoccupied with the slow toil of the daily chaos she didn't notice the clear, calm and colorful spring.

Grandmother said time is a thief, she too was busy being a perfectionist having not paused to enjoy the lovely moments with her family. Now under the canopy of stars, she regrets having missed the smile and laughs of the past.

Tia wondered under the canopy of stars family is the source of warmth and happiness which pulls like a magnet all the time and wished if she could freeze the time.
