Doctors : The Savior

It is midnight 3.00 AM and all the houses nearby were all dark and everyone was sleeping. Usually, some will wash the roads in Shankaran street, Kovanur, Near to Mettupalayam, Coimbatore district. Since, the month is June, the heavy rains washes the roads by itself and henceforth, all are sleeping peacefully.

Except one house in the street, all are sleeping peacefully. That house belongs to Doctor Krishna, a 25-year old bachelor, working as a Neurologist in Royal Medicals of Ukkadam.

Time differs for Krishna on different aspects. He has to work for 24 to 48 hours for some times and this differs on various days under different aspects. Hence, Krishna had no time to spend his memorable moments with his friends and other members.

When he sees two college students holding each other's hands and going, Krishna recalls the life of college and school before five to six years. He was an orphan grown up in the Coimbatore trusts and was a brilliant and outstanding student in 10th and 12th standards.

Being an orphan, Krishna was less interactive with his friends and doesn't spoke much with anyone, because he wants to study more and achieve bigger in his life. Krishna's only well-wisher and close friend was Akhil Ram, a Commerce student and both are attached to each other closely though, hailing from different departments.

After the 12th, Krishna writes his NEET exams, and becomes the 7th rank holder in Tamil Nadu during 2018's. He gets his medical seats in Coimbatore medical university for his undergraduate course in Surgery. After four years, Krishna completes his post-graduation in Neurology and another post-graduation in surgery for three years.

Later on, Krishna joins the KMCH hospitals as a Neuron-surgeon, where he is widely respected by his fellow mates and patients respectively, due to his respect and genuine behavior. Besides being a surgeon, Krishna is also a socially responsible person and punishes those offenders, who commits any crime in the society.

Meanwhile, Akhil, the current-ACP of Coimbatore district, sees Krishna in the hospital, working as a Neuron-surgeon and is happier.

"Krishna. How are you, da?" asked Akhil.

"I am fine da, Akhil. What's this? You have completely changed" said Krishna…

"You too has completely changed in your looks da, Krishna. See how you looks" said Akhil.

"Yeah…I see" said Krishna

"And how is your medical life da, Krishna?" asked Akhil.

"I have to do duties and time too differs, for 24-48 hours. Doctors has to work a lot for the patients and it's really stressful work for me, Akhil. It's not easy to tell in words" said Krishna.

"So, rather than IPS, Doctor life seems to be very difficult, I think Krishna" said Akhil…

"And how is your police life, man?" asked Krishna.

"That's really boring, Krishna. I am disgusted to do this job" said Akhil.

"That's fine" said Krishna

After some times, Akhil tells that, he has some works to go on in Mettupalayam and leaves the place. Before leaving the place, Akhil tells Krishna to come for his house near to SITRA Airport, because he has a surprise for him at 12:00 AM.

Krishna agrees and after finishing his duties, he goes to Akhil's house at 12:00 AM, where he finds everything to be off and dim.

Suddenly, Akhil turns on the lights and tells to him, "Happy birthday, Dr.Krishna. A lots more for you to achieve"

Krishna saw the date and finds it is November 8th and tells to himself, "Oh! I forgot" and continues to Akhil…

"Thank you da, Akhil. You made this birthday special for me, da" said Krishna.

Some of Akhil's classmates also wishes for Krishna's birthday and they have a huge party in Akhil's house.

"Krishna. If I ask you a question, will you not take it wrong?" asked Akhil.

"Let me see whether your question is right or wrong. Ask to me" said Krishna.

"How is your love interest, Deepika? Is she fine? Currently, where she resides now?" asked Akhil.

"She is fine, Akhil. Presently she works as a software analyst in an IT company and she currently resides near Nilambur" said Krishna.

"Ada! What is this da? You are telling it like a news report. She is your love interest, da" said Akhil.

"If she has thought like such, she couldn't have break up with me Akhil nor could have hurt you with such words da" said Krishna.

"Already, I told that I didn't took it seriously. But, think off da. How much she loved you indeed? Deepika too, has made this surprise party, you remember?" asked Akhil.

"I remember now, Akhil" said Krishna.

He starts to recall his college days in Delhi university during 2016-2020, where he had been studying for his post-graduation courses. Krishna was a brilliant, genuine and humble student in Delhi university. He gives a lots of respect and affection to his fellow mates and teachers, whom he considers as a mentor.

Deepika was in her post-graduation degree in MBA of Software analysis. She was a close friend for Krishna during those days(owing to his respect, genuine and gentle behavior) and due to his genuine and good soul of behavior, she slowly fell for Krishna.

In fact, Deepika too is an orphan when she was just six years old. She lost her entire family during bomb blasts in Mumbai. Her father, a doctor by profession, got killed by his own accomplishes, who supported the terrorist groups. From that time, Deepika hates doctors and the profession. However, she knows that Krishna is studying for doctor and she plans to make him forgot the doctor profession, once he accepts her love proposal. 

She expresses her love for Krishna to Akhil, who gives her an idea to propose her love during Krishna's birthday by giving a surprise for him. Like Akhil, Deepika surprises Krishna during his birthday on November 8th.

"Thank you, Deepika. A special birthday party in my life" said Krishna.

"If you accept, I will be with you, throughout till your death" said Deepika, implying that she is in love with him.

"I love you, Deepika. Once I saw you, I fell in love with you. I love you" said Krishna, kissing her and hugs Deepika.

"I love you, Krishna" said Deepika.

"Dei Krishna. When you was in the college, you used to be so silent and fearful. But, now only I am seeing how much romantic mood you have in your mind and heart. Carry on, carry on" said Akhil.

"You…Dei…stop Akhil…don't run da" said Krishna, after he said like that and Akhil says, "Deepika…Carry on…Enjoy ma…If I am here, then you duo's romantic mood will be spoiled" and he walks away from the place.

Krishna and Deepika's relationship strengthens day by day. However, after some days, Krishna was unable to spend enough time with Deepika owing to his busy schedules in Medical and surgical courses. She is upset with him for not spending enough time with her.

Akhil too, was unable to hear the concerns of Deepika, because he too, was busy with NCC and IPS ambitions. After some days, Krishna realizes that he hasn't spent enough time with Deepika and immediately goes to meet her, where Akhil has also come in order to console the duo…

"Ho, Deepika. I am sorry, dear. I has been given a hefty schedules in the hospital. That's an important course. That's why…!" said Krishna.

"Why have you stopped, Krishna? I know you will tell this only…" said Deepika.

"Please understand, Deepika. Working as a surgeon is not an easy profession for Krishna. He has worked day and night for that, since his school days. Don't get angry on him pa" said Akhil.

A furious Deepika gets angry and shouts at Akhil.

"Hey. First who are you to interfere between us? Don't you know that it's our personal issues. Why are you standing here?"

"Mind your words, Deepika. He is my close friend since childhood days. One more time, if you say him like this, I don't know what will I do!" said Krishna.

"Ok Krishna. I am straight to my point. Either you choose to go for medical field or choose me besides the medical" said Deepika.

"Deepika. What are you saying, ma?" asked Akhil.

"I am right in my question. You shut up, Akhil" said Deepika.

An angry Krishna slaps Deepika left and right and says, he choose to go for Medical and declares his break up.

However, after some times, he regrets for his actions. But, it is too late. Deepika breaks up with Krishna and he goes upset for one week.

After a week, Akhil meets Krishna in his house.

"Come da Akhil. At least from childhood days, you are with me, right!" said Krishna.

"Or you too will go from me like Deepika, da?" asked Krishna.

An emotional Akhil hugs Krishna and tells to him that, they will never be separated at any point of times.

"From that time, you are still now regretting for your actions, Krishna" said Akhil.

"I know it da. I tried several times to speak with Deepika. But, it failed. It all lies with god. Let's wait" said Krishna.

"Leave da, Krishna. She herself will understand about doctors one day. She has told it to you, because her father too was a victim in Mumbai blasts as a doctor" said Akhil.

"Ok, Akhil. But, I will wait for my love, Deepika even it takes days" said Krishna.

Krishna manages to meet Deepika and consoles her after a long struggle. But, Deepika has a condition for him in regards to reconcile with him and hence, asks Krishna to spend a memorable time with her for 2 weeks, taking leaves from the hospital.

Initially, reluctant Krishna agrees to Deepika later on, when Akhil manages to convince the doctor. However, prior to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the pandemic situation in all over India, the government issues a total lock down in all over the country.

Krishna is forced to take charge for the COVID duties in KMCH hospitals while, Akhil is also put as a special police officer for the protection of Coimbatore district as the ACP controlling the whole district people for those three weeks total lockdown.

On those times, Deepika initially becomes furious. However, Deepika learns how difficult the doctor profession is after seeing Krishna's face, which is now completely shrunk due to the mask for continuous 24 hours.

In further, she also notices Akhil doing the duty for day and night and recalls, how much she has hurt him and finally, she apologizes to Akhil for her bad and harsh behavior during those college days…

In further, Deepika learns the importance of doctors in India and how they are creating awareness on health and fitness at every point of time in all over the world and she realizes that, her view point is wrong.

Finally, Deepika meets Krishna in his house, where now Akhil is sleeping peacefully after the full time duty.

"Come Deepika. Have a glass of water?" asked Krishna.

"Not needed, Krishna. I have to speak with you" said Deepika.

"Speak pa" said Krishna.

"I now realized how much painful the doctor profession is, Krishna. Not only you, even our police officers and army are dying for this country. You made me realized the importance of doctors in the form of my father. If I have hurt you at any means, I am sorry da, Krishna. My heart speed is running faster. I think I wanted to hug you da, Krishna…I love you" said Deepika and she hugs Krishna.

"Say it again, Deepika" said a tearful Krishna.

"I love you, Krish" said Deepika.

Akhil watches it in happiness, who has woke up after seeing this.

He makes a sound and when the duo sees, Akhil says, "Where is my water bottle? Ok. Let me go and search"

"Hey. Don't act da. I already guessed that, you has come" said Krishna.

"What shall I do now, da? May I leave the place so that, you may continue your romance with Deepika" said Akhil, jokingly.

"Dei…" said Krishna and the duo has a funny fight.

After some times, Krishna says, "It's not an end, Deepika…We have yet another challenge to fight over this COVID-19 pandemic situation. Me and Akhil has to undergo a several challenges in this pandemic situation…"

"Yes Krishna. You are right. I have to protect the law while, you have to save the patients, who come to your hospital because, it's our duty" said Akhil.

"Exactly, you both are right in your opinion pa" said Deepika…

After three to four months, Krishna and Deepika gets married in a temple under Akhil's guidance and lives happily forever in their life. Like Deepika, if everyone realizes the importance of Doctor and Police officers, Doctors and IPS officers will be the savior of this country and works more enthusiastically for the welfare of the country.
