Recap: The Sixth Part

It was now Rohit and Mugdha in the reception.

Rohit looked at Mugdha with so much anger, frustration and said, "Mugdha, you'll regret this. Leave your paper at the reception and going forward don't dare to enter into this office.

He stomped out from there in anger, leaving Mugdha more shocked. However, she maintained her calm and stepped out of the office.

She called up Kartik and said, "Plan has been successful, but with a twist".

Mugdha then asked Kartik, Can you and Rakesh meet me at my place to work out this plan. I know this was not our initial plan, but this seems even a better opportunity to serve justice. I guess a little brainstorming would be great to work out this plan. Sorry, I am dragging you both in my mess, but I don't know to whom should I turn.

Kartik listened silently to Mughdha and then replied, Mugdha, you know you are family to me. And don't worry about us, we are more than happy to help you. You know, Rakesh has become such a big admirer of yours, even if you don't ask him to come and help you, you'll find him there. What you are doing takes a lot of courage, and we all are with you in this. So, don't worry, we'll sort everything out.

How is your leg pain? Please don't strain your legs too much. Hope you are taking your medicines on time. And I know you hate it but as of now try to use the wheel-chair more for some time. You need to give it some more time to heal. And yes, don't.

Mughdha interrupted him and said, Kartik, here I am worried about the implementation of the plan. I don't know how will I pull through the fashion show in 15 days. I neither have the resources to work nor have that much capital to invest. And you are more worried about my legs. Focus Dr. Kartik.

Kartik laughed and said, My dear bestie, Yes, my focus is in the right direction. While you were sharing the issues, I have already sorted out the plan for it. So, yes, right now, my focus is on another important factor i.e your health. Let's meet in the evening and talk.Bye.Take care. Kartik disconnected the call because he had some calls to make.

To begin with, Kartik called up Rakesh and told him about the fashion show and his plan of getting it done. Rakesh was happy to hear the plan and agreed to meet in the evening at Mughdha's place.

While on the other hand, Mugdha was still wondering did Kartik even listened to the issue. There was only one way to find out.

Rakesh and Kartik were at Mugdha's place. Mugdha and her family were looking worried.

Seeing the situation Kartik said, Look Mugdha, I told Rakesh about your meeting in the office. We discussed it and we both agreed you took the right decision to participate in the fashion show. Mr. Lahiri knows about your capabilities and trusts you completely, else he would have not given this opportunity to you in the first place. You have earned this.

I know Kartik, but right now my concern is getting the workers and the investment required to work this through. You know very well I don't have a company, nor resources and capital. So how do I work this out?

Kartik said, Mugdha what if I can provide you with some untrained but enthusiastic resources who could support you in this. Can you guide this untrained team and do the impossible? 

Are you serious Kartik, off course yes I can work this out. This would be a blessing for me, she said. 

Kartik said, Good. I'll get into detail in this later, but our 2nd concern is arranging the money.

 Mugdha's father said, Beta, I have some FD saved for you and Kiara, I guess we can get some Financial support from there to support your project., 

Kiara said, Di, I also have some money from the tuitions I did. It's not a huge amount but can certainly support you.

Mugdha said, I know you guys love me a lot, but I can't allow you to spend your money on this. I have some savings that we can use and yes I can sell my car off since I don't need it anymore.

Rakesh intervened and said, I am touched seeing the family love. Kartik is like family to me and for Kartik, you guys are the family so you guys are sort of my family too. Mugdha I know this sounds odd, but I consider you like my sister hence as a brother can you please allow me to support my sister.

Mugdha was about to reply, but Kartik intervened and said, Mugdha I guess Rakesh has a point, you should not say No. And I know you very well, you'll not accept money easily so here's what we can do. Rakesh can loan you the amount and once you get the project, you can repay him.

Kartik looked at Mugdha and Rakesh, they both agreed upon it.

And yes, I forgot to tell you I am also financially contributing to this project, you can repay me with interest, Kartik smiled and looked at Mugdha.

And the room burst out with laughter. That was the specialty of Kartik, even in this intense situation, he knew very well how to ease things up. Mugdha thought.

He further said, Ok, jokes apart, now let me come back to our main concern regarding arranging the resources.

Mugdha you remember my aunt Pooja who runs an orphanage. After our call, I spoke to her and told her about the complete situation. I know this may not seem a great idea to you but I asked her if girls from that orphanage could support us. I remembered a few years back I visited the orphanage when a fashion show was organized by them showcasing the beautiful dresses they have made. It was a fundraiser and they got an amazing response. Now, remember they have not undergone any professional training, it was all based on their passion, but the results were marvelous. 

I don't know what sort of work Mr. Lahiri is expecting, but I am sure with your guidance these girls can support you.

Here, I got some photographs of the fashion show and the team pic as well. Have a look, we can go tomorrow morning and meet them. Now, your work would be to convince the team to work with you.

When Mugdha saw the pics, she was mesmerized seeing the work, it was fantastic, the ideas looked so fresh and the dresses were so pretty. She had never seen such beautiful dresses. She had worked for some famous national and international brands, but the piece of work done by the girls was amazing.

Kartik are you sure, these girls have not undergone any training. This looks amazing. I wonder I can teach them anything. Mugdha said.

I know, it was pretty awesome, but more importantly, is the team. Look at the team pic, you'll understand what I am talking about. Kartik said.

When Mugdha looked at the pic, she was shocked, when she saw few members in the team were in the wheel-chair, some in crutches, some were even deprived of both the legs, some even had black glasses (an indication they couldn't see), and some had just one hand.

Mugdha was in tears, as she said, Kartik these people are amazingly talented. I'll be blessed if they give am an opportunity to learn from them.

Yes, Mugdha, they are talented no doubt, but more importantly, you'll be impressed by them, when you meet them in person. The kind of energy they carry with them, their thought process, their confidence. You know you can learn so much from them as to how to live your life.

I have met them a couple of times, and they never cease to surprise me.

Now, all you need to do is convince them to support you. If they could agree to support you, half of our job is done.

The next day Mugdha, Rakesh, and Kartik reached the orphanage. Kartik's aunt Pooja has always heard about Mughdha, but never got a chance to meet her. She was happy to meet her.

Kartik's aunt Pooja was in her late 50's .She was a widow. Her husband was in the army and unfortunately in one of the terrorist encounters, she lost her husband. They had no kids and after her husband expired she was almost about to give up on her life when unknowingly one little girl saved her life. This little girl had lost her eyes in one of the accidents and since she belonged to a poor family, her father had abandoned her.

Pooja's encounter with that girl drastically changed her life. And when she came to know she was an orphan, she decided she'll support such kids and provide them with the kind of life they deserve and this resulted in starting the orphanage.

Pooja's aim was not only to provide these girls shelter but also to turn them into educated and independent women. Hence she took care of providing them education and skill training based on their passion.

When Kartik called her up, told her about Mugdha's story, she was happy to help. She suggested Kartik, let Mugdha meet and talk to the girls directly.

The girls were told today they were expecting a special guest, who wanted to meet and talk to them. The girls were told the guest was impressed with their fashion show work and wanted to discuss some Proposals with them.

Mugdha was a bit nervous to enter the hall, where these girls were waiting for her. Kartik looked at Mugdha, held her hand, and said, Let's do it together. Rakesh saw both of them and said to Pooja, "Aunty, I guess these two can take care of the matter, Can I get the tour of the orphanage.

Sensing the situation, Pooja understood and said, Yes, Rakesh, please come with me. Yes, they can take care of the matter.

While Pooja and Rakesh left for the tour, Mugdha and Kartik entered the hall to talk to the girls.
