Her friends moved out of the vicinity to guard the perimeter and alert the couple beforehand. She was a rustic beauty, quite tall with natural curves but her eyes drew him as they sparkled with mischief. 

He understood she would be a handful but at that instant he decided she would be the one for him as long as they lived. He just relished in her presence for a minute before he gave her his full attention.

“Harishgaaru (Mr.Harish) I’m sorry for meeting you like this. I know this is not acceptable behaviour but you see I’m genuinely worried.” 

She continued after a pause, “My father accepted to give you a dowry of fifty thousand and with the other expenses put together the sum is totaling to eighty thousand. He is planning to sell of half of his land and some family jewellery. 

"Of course, we applied for the Government’s Wedding Scheme but that amount is nowhere close to cover the expenses. If you could just talk to your father about the dowry, it’ll be very helpful,” she pleaded.
