Her Ideal Husband

"Hey, don't read my diary!" Akanksha told me.

I felt embarassed as she caught me red handed as I loved her thoughts beautifully penned in her diary.

She used to miss her mother who had died many years ago.

She started crying as I tried to console her by hugging her but she pushed me away.

She told me,

"You can read my diary but you can't bring back my mother who might be still waiting for me!"

"What does that mean?" I asked her.

"Yes, she is alive dear but is too scared to contact me due to my father!" She told me.

"Does your father hate her so much that he asked her to leave you many years ago?" I asked her.

"No, she had a nervous breakdown after giving birth to me. So, he kept her in a mental institution but I want her to live with me in our house," she told me.

"Is she ready to live here after all I am a complete stranger for her and you have also grown up. Will she accept Diya as she just looks like you!" I asked her.

"Yes, I know and even you look like the younger version of my dad as you look like his doppleganger from various angles!" She told me.

Akanksha's mother came to our house and she hugged Diya as she looked at me and said with tears in her eyes,

"Last time you forced me to stay away from my daughter but this time I won't let you do that!"

She kissed Diya and slowly but steadily became a part of our family!

Akanksha told me one day,

"Thank you for allowing me to bring.my mother here as you have proved that this is my home, too."

I told her,

"It is your home, dear! If my mother stays here without any problem then why can't my wife's mother live here? In fact I feel blessed to have the love of two mothers in one life."

Akanksha told me,

"My father had asked me when I chose you as my life partner,

'Why him?'

I still remember saying that,

'Only him as he is a part of me just like I am a part of him'."
