Little Sister

Wandering aimlessly in my room, I decided to go to my best friend's house.

I started to get ready. Wearing my favorite tee and jeans, I was set to go out. 

I walked into my parent's room to tell them I am going. 

I called them but no one answered. Then I heard a crying sound. I walked towards the drawing-room. 

My parents were there. 

"Honey you were calling us. "Mom asked cradling the crying girl. 

 

"Yes mom I was thinking to go to my best friend ' s house. I will be back soon. I promise. "I said swiftly. 

"Ok you can go. But first take your little sister out for few minutes. She being restless and crying nonstop. "Mom said pointing towards the 2-year-old who was bawling her eyes out. 

I lifted her up in confusion and walked outside for a bit. She seemed to calm down. 

After few minutes I returned inside. 

My parents were conversing about some random topic. I then told them I am going out. 

I practically ran out of my house scared. 

Reaching my best friend's house which is 2 blocks away I took a deep breath. 

I knocked on the door. My best friend came outside and invited me in. 

She asked why I look so terrified. 

I sat on her sofa and took a big gulp of water. 

"You know I just hold a child," I said

"So what's the big deal "She asked confused. 

"My parents were calling her my little sister but you know that I am an only child. When I was leaving for your house she smiled evilly and mouthed that I am here to take away your parents. "

I replied stunned.
