Lockdown Day 7

Lockdown Day 7

2 mins
202

It is the 7th day of the countrywide lockdown. The day began as usual with the dawn, daybreak and then the sun rises. Birds come out of the nightlong perching on the tree branches and start singing melodiously. A cool breeze blows through the tree branches reminding us that spring is receding away and will shortly give way to the summer season.

Many flowering trees are in full bloom, like the rusty shield-bearer, mango trees are Laden with attractive small fruits. Nature is at its best, the only thing not visible are the erstwhile omnipresent human beings, which in their quest to become omnipotent have landed themselves into a historical crisis.

Nature is not vengeful, it provides abundantly. But if we try to exploit it beyond its capacity, it may make some amendments in its plan of things. Now that nature has temporarily suspended the humanity's freedom of movement, all the other creatures are enjoying their day, freely roaming the now shrunk forests, visiting the coastlines and even roaming the concrete jungles of humanity.

At home, we did everything to keep ourselves from going insane. I read some books by Ruskin Bond, my favorite author. Kids are passing time by studying or playing games on the laptop. My wife is busy doing household chores or reprimanding me when I falter in doing some household chores to her satisfaction.

We try to get some provisions from the online grocery delivering apps but most are not delivering. Going out to buy some groceries seems dreadful for the threat of the invisible enemy. Hope our invisible friend, the omnipotent God is watching the deplorable plight of the now repenting human beings and will soon deliver all of us from this curse of the virus.
