Summer vacations are always memorable. I remember once we went to museum and it was raining, so I slipped. Later I realised that I had forgotten to change my trousers, so I went to in my home pants. Another time, when we nearly had to camp on a mountain because the tire got punctured. But not all memories are sweet. I remember when I was in class 9, we were staying at my uncle's house and that year they were having their house painted.

One day, my aunt was making tea for the painters. She filtered it into a jug and went to drawing room where cups were kept, temporarily. Meanwhile, my 3-year old cousin, entered the kitchen and unknowingly spilled the tea all over her right arm. She was immediately taken to doctor as we heard her scream. Doctor treated her and advised her not to go out as the heat and humidity can cause burning sensation.

My cousin was just like my grandmother. Though she was just 3-years at that time but she enjoyed exploring and travelling. So staying in a room was difficult for her but necessary though my mum or aunt would take her on terrace during sunset because the weather would become bearable. But for me, the problem was different. I couldn't see her screaming in pain and that burn area. I stayed feet away from her. Now that I think about it, I realise how stupid I was but that stupidness taught me an important lesson.

One day, both my mum and aunt were busy and my cousin was screaming to go out. So, they urged me to take her. I was hesitant but as soon as stepped towards her. She stood up and spread her arms and as I was lose enough, she wrapped her arms around me. That feeling was unexplainable. I don't know why but that moment was everything. That moment only, I faced my fear and defeated her. After that moment, I would apply medicine to her arm everyday until it was completely healed. And was how I discovered my love for medical and passion to help people.
