Menstruation is a normal life process that one needs to understand. There are many myths which still exist in society because the so-called civilized people don't want to get their mindset positive.

The story is about a girl, named, Sita. She is a very sincere and intelligent girl. She lost her mother at a very early age. So she was even not aware of Menstruation. It was her puberty age. And she was having very several stomach pain and back pain. But whom to share?? Father no doubt loves her daughter. But she wasn't even aware of her first period.

She dressed up and went to school. She had her first menstruation. The students laughed and make fun of her. They all treated her as impure and untouchable. The biggest myth is period still considered that period is impure. Why don't they understand that it is a very normal process and every girl and woman has to go through this process? The teacher noticed the incident and asked Sita to come along with her to a medical room. She knew that Sita has lost her mother and it is her duty to guide and tell her about the change in body parts. Sita is very scared but at the same time, she is very strong and mature enough to handle the change.

The myth is people think that periods should never be discussed. But menstruation should be openly discussed in school, among students so that they respect and take care of friends, sisters and their mothers.

Sita shared everything with her father. Father felt very bad that her daughter has to face such embarrassment.

The father always shared a loving and caring bond with her daughter. Father took her to his sister's house and asked her to teach and tell him every hygienic thing about sanitary pads and periods.

They together went to the shop and asked the shopkeeper to give them sanitary pads. The shopkeeper wrapped it in black polythene and was giving it secretly. But is it a crime? Is it wrong? People can openly display and advertisement of condoms but they feel shy and shame when they sell sanitary pads. Sita felt very sad and wanted to fight against the myth that Periods are shameful. But who would be in her support and struggle? She shared videos over social media and many ngo came in her support. Many Sanitary pass companies came in her support and they visited many shops, made people aware, and made display boards so that people stop thinking that menstruation is something fishy and should not be discussed in open.

The school appreciated her effort and decided to have a seminar for students of classes 7 to 12. It was a very overwhelming step taken by the school management.

The story of Sita is not just a story of a single girl. There are many girls who still are not allowed to enter kitchens, visit temples, cook food, touch ghee Or pickle. When the problems will end?

Life is very strange. People want to go to Mars but don't want to come out from old rituals and practices.

Moral of the story.

Myths should never be always supported. Change is very pervasive. We should change our old rituals, and practices and be positive. Menstruation is a normal biological body process. People should never disrespect any woman. When people respect and take care of women who are going through periods, they surely will feel relaxed, motivated and strong.

Why women's are not allowed to visit temples? Earlier it was just because they wanted the women to rest and take care of. It doesn't mean they are impure and untouchable.
