Nature's self correction

Nature's self correction

Nature has its way of correcting things when we fail to do our part as a society. Corona has given us an opportunity to introspect and rethink our way of life. In the name of survival, we have made many mistakes so far. By constructing buildings wherever there is space available, we contributed to encroaching the natural habitat of animals and birds. By using air conditioners, driving vehicles, doing unnecessary construction and by not maintaining hygiene, we are adding to the air pollution. Honking unnecessarily simply because we don't have the patience to wait our turn in traffic leads to noise pollution. We fight in the name of religion thus disrespecting each other's faith. Amongst all the animals that God created, he gave a sense of logic only to human beings. This makes us the smartest species. During the quarantine shouldn't we introspect on the question of the mistakes we made and how can we possibly correct these mistakes?

Everyone is waiting for the lockdown to be called off. But even if the lockdown gets over, we should try and stay home to help in the control of the coronavirus. The problem is that people are not even adhering to the pleas of the Government during the lockdown. In the name of buying essentials, people are stepping out every second day for shopping. In my own building, there are people who are educated yet they sit together on the same bench to smoke or chit chat. They even go out twice a day on drives.

It's a shame that despite being aware of the consequences we can't practice self-control and stay at home. I am writing this blog to request everyone to respect nature. Coronavirus may be nature’s way of correcting our human errors. Before it is too late, let us do some self-correction. If each of us works honestly in their respective areas of work and life then we can experience Satyug even in today's world.
