Roma's Pencil

Tasha is 8 years old and she loves going to schools s she can meet her friends and talk and play with them. Her best friend Roma, on the other hand, is a shy and quiet girl who loves studying rather than playing.

Roma had once bought a shiny bright pencil to school, Tasha loved to use quirky stationery and hence she one day asked Roma's pencil, Roma agreed and gave her.

Tasha was quiet naughty as well, she used to fight with the other girls of her class. It was time to go home, the bell rang 'Ringggggg. . . 'the girls shouted with joy, Roma was packing up her things and then remembered about the pencil and Tasha to hand her over, Tasha told she wants buy one and would return her tomorrow. Roma didn't want to give her but she couldn't tell anything and agreed and said, "Don't forget tomorrow Tasha, it's my favourite pencil", Tasha nodded her head.

Next day morning they all came to school as usual and Tasha came running and sat on her bench, it was the most awaited Recess time, all kids except Judy I. e Tasha's benchmate was sitting in class writing her notes.

Tasha was ignoring Roma which was very unexpected and surprising to Roma, she went to Tasha and asked her, Tasha told she is busy playing and will talk to her later in the lunch break, Roma gave her a smile and went and sat as she didn't like playing.

It was lunch break now, Roma went to Tasha and asked her why she is ignoring her since morning and Tasha said it's nothing like that and she was just busy playing at that time, Roma gave her milkshake to Tasha as she loved Milkshakes but today Tasha returned her back, Roma was sad but kept quiet and then she remembered about her pencil and asked her to return it back. Tasha told let me go in and get you. Don't worry its safe and intact with she said.

They went in class and Roma stood near Tasha's bench to take her pencil, Tasha searched for nearly 5minutes but she couldn't find it, Roma started crying and kept on crying and Tasha told somebody has robbed her pencil, the whole class was tensed and waited for the teacher to come, the teacher came and Roma told her about her pencil, the teacher asked who had taken it?But all kept quiet and Tasha shouted I know, the teacher asked tell me who is it?, Tasha told it's none other than "Judy", whole class turned to Judy and the teacher couldn't believe as she was a innocent and quiet girl, Jusy started crying and said she never knew about any such pencil, the teacher then sent a helper to check everybody's bag and Tasha was sweating profusely. . . The pencil was found in Judy's bag. . . the teacher became angry and shouted at Judy, Roma saw her pencil was broken and had mud as well on it. Judy was cring and crying as she was innocent but everyone blamed her.

Roma thanked Tasha. . . and hugged her, but Tasha scared and sweating profusely and nobody knew why?

The teacher told that she would call Judy, Tasha and Roma's parents and talk about this.

Tasha started crying and the teacher asked why?Tasha slowly replied and said Judy is innocent! The whole shouted ahhh?, the teacher said you are the one who said Judy is the thief and now you are taking her side but why?

Tasha said it was me who had put the broken pencil into Judy's bag, yesterday I had taken Roma's pencil but while going home I saw a puddle and wanted jump on that, the pencil was in my hand and it fell from my hand and broke. . . I was scared Roma would stop speaking to me and scold me. So I blamed Judy.

Roma was surprised but she didn't tell a word to Tasha and asked said Judy sorry for blaming her. The whole class asked sorry to Judy and the teacher asked Roma and Tasha to come along with her and said that when someone tells the truth though late the person should be forgiven.

Roma was sad but had forgiven Tasha. Tasha from then never lied and was always honest.
