Kalyan! Don't go outside. Malini said again.

Ha maa, I am not going outside. Kalyan knows his mom locked the door.

When no one is watching Kalyan slowly took the steps and reached the rooftop. Kalyan felt bored in the summer holidays.

Next year he will be in 4th standard.

His friends in the neighbourhood house also reached the rooftop by jumping from the adjacent house.

All were playing cricket with a plastic ball and using the writing pad as a bat.

When it is lunchtime everyone returned to their homes.

That night Kalyan was unable to eat anything as his body temperature raised. Malini called her husband and he confirmed it is due to heat stroke.

As Kalyan's father worked as an assistant to the doctor he called the boss and took medicine and ORS packets.

Malini kept Kalyan's head on her lap and changed the wet cloth on his forehead every two hours. 

Kalyan became restless as he didn't take any solid food. Malini gave him coconut water, ORS and his favourite chocolate too.

At night she rubbed the henna paste on his feet to make his body cool.

When it became morning Kalyan felt healthy.

She explained to him how playing outside affected his health as it is summer. She mentioned sunstroke is dangerous if we neglect it.

She has given him some indoor game card boxes to play with his friends.

Kalyan started playing chess in the summer with his father.

Meanwhile, Malini locked the entrance to the rooftop and hid the keys from Kalyan.
