The Break-Up Date - Part I

Once upon a time, there was a girl named “Anaya” the boy named “Kartik” madly in love each (that’s what they thought so), however, Anaya told Kartik to meet in a restaurant, needed to share something urgent.

Kartik and Anaya had been dating past 5 years, and he was all set to propose Anaya today to marry him.

“Sorry Kartik, but this is not working. I am breaking up with you. This is all over” said Anaya

What, How can you do this to me, to us- Anaya? Kartik was too shocked to hear this from Anaya.

He was deeply in love with Anaya and could not understand where this was coming in their beautiful 5 years relationship. She was the love of his life and he couldn’t imagine a life without her.

They kept no secrets from each other to the extent he told her he was adopted son of his family. His grandfather somehow had never accepted him as the son of this family; hence he was not named as a legal heir in his father’s will.

 Wait, I guess I get it, Your father wants you to marry my elder brother “Vidhan” the rich industrialist. Since I am the adopted son, so your father is concerned that I am not the legal heir to my father’s empire – Isn’t this all true Anaya asked Kartik?

Yes, Kartik, I am helpless, please forgive me. Anaya was unable to hold back her tears.

Kartik before you leave, you remember you promised to fulfil my one wish, Anaya asked Kartik as she held his hand.

Oh, you want to play this card too, alright. We just broke up so I am not bound to fulfill your wish, however, am a man of words, so whatever your wish is there shall be granted.

Anaya said Kartik my wish is “I need you to get far away from your family, without ever claiming your share from them and you shall never connect with any of the family members”

Kartik, “Your wish shall be fulfilled” as he muttered these words to her, he made his way out of the restaurant. As he stepped out of the restaurant, his head was spinning, he felt as if someone has sucked all blood from his body, there was no air to breathe, he felt suffocated and even before he could realise he got hit by a car and fell on the ground.

After 10 years somewhere in college:

Arjun became a prominent name as a successful Motivational Keynote Speaker. There was a long list of successful books written by him, awards won by him. He was working with many successful organizations, his sessions were amazing, and he had his own style of conducting sessions. However, he made sure to conduct sessions in colleges too.

The auditorium was filled with more than 1000+ college students, even with so many students; there was absolute silence in there. The silence was interrupted by the speaker of the evening “Well, guys I see you all have been taken away with the story, however, the fun fact is this story is based on the true event. Before you jump the gun, I take this opportunity to introduce you to our very special guest of the night and my partner in crime “Ms Anaya Shah.

As Anaya entered the hall, instead of the applaud there was silence, students were shocked murmuring with each other and staring at her.

‘You know we need to re-work my entry lines”, she said to the speaker as she smiled and hugged him.

“Thank you so much for the wonderful introduction “. She looked towards the speaker. Well I know you all have questions for me, about the story my friend here just narrated

Her speech was interrupted by one of the girls in the audience, said “Mam, sorry to interrupt but we all have questions for you what happened to Kartik, Did he excelled in his life or gave up on his life?

Was he successful or gave up on the situation? Did Anaya and Vidhan got married? Was Anaya a money-minded girl who was selfish enough to sacrifice the love of her life?

 Did Kartik get the love of his life?

Anaya and Arjun looked at each other and smiled, they knew these questions would pop up, and were all geared to go for it.
