A lot of discussion happening at Mr.sharmas house. The reason being television bought by the neighbors. This was the year 1985 the revolutionary introduction of television that entered every household of course if it was affordable. But who could explain the kids at home about affordability they wouldn't know that much Neighbours of Sharma Ji had bought a TV and Their entire household was elated obviously they had bought Onida TV (neighbors envy owners pride) understood what I mean, hehe! Ok, that was it. Somehow all the kids of the neighborhood requested Omi the neighborhood kid to allow them to watch TV at their home for some time. Their wish was fulfilled for some time. All were happy. But after few days omis house was not so welcoming about this gathering every day quite reasonable from their point of view and so a small revolution at Mr.sharmas house led to their buying a small TV .of course kids' happiness knew no bound. I was one among them you must have guessed it by now. Even though elders at home kept referring to the television as idiot box none of us bothered about this straight talk the programs were so engrossing and thrilling to our young minds. Entertainment unlimited in the comfort of your home what else can anyone ask for,?Now after so many years when I rewind the time machine memories of bygone times seems like a whiff of fresh air.,this is in reference to the memorable programs telecast on the so-called idiot box for few and a visual treat for few like us.what started as a product of envy became a prized possession after all. The sitcoms, The news channels, sports, spiritual, everything was so amazing. we in fact waited eagerly every day to watch these programs. Be it Dekh Bhai Dekh, Karamchand and his dumb secretary, office office very simple and effective, buniyaad about family ties and values not to forget the crazy group of 5 members hum paanch fauzi which gave us a Bollywood superstar and the list is endless. Maybe today's generation has more entertainment at their behest thanks to the internet and improved communication and network facilities but surely we the old-timers had a more simply enjoyable idiot box time memorable cherishable and unforgettable.

Thank you.
