The Onion Repertoire

We the bustling bulbs called Onions armed with unique resplendence soulfully enjoyed a solemn place in the kitchen of every household. People of all classes welcomed us despite our taunt to give them teary eyes and cheered us with their extensive usage.

Considering the current trend, a huge family of onions mingled at a market venue to discuss their issues. They exuded confidence, that stemmed from their luxury of long associations with humans. They were decked in a fur-trimmed in soft pink with inner layers of glossy purple.

The head-honcho requested its assembled companions to take their respective seats.

Announced she beaming with pride, " At the market street laden with a variety of vegetable dime- a - dozen, we managed to steal the show and also conquered the red carpet with our incandescent charm. We were booming lots. Every marketer bought heaps of us and we formed the most integral chunk among the vegetable clan.

We blended amicably with almost all our counterparts viz. tomatoes, brinjals, potatoes, ladies finger et al...and enhanced the flavor of dishes with our unique prowess. The humans relished all the delicacies in which we made our presence.

We became the delicious accompaniments to amuse bouche and other dishes served at the restaurants. We wooed the people with our inventive flair.

We have been a constant additive of tasteful dimensions. We've gone a long way in coating their taste-buds with teasing touches of pungency!

That said, now we are on the verge of collapse. The same people who accepted us with our teary taunts with joy, have now left us in a teary lurch.

They do not want us to mingle with any of our counterparts. They have rejected us from the department of cuisine. Even though there are soirees with huge buffet spreads and exotic spices, our absence is conspicuous.

"Therefore, let us work up our team spirit, to prevent the relationship from cracking". Chimed the head-honcho. " Let us grow in large teams and deter the price rise. Let us all strive to reinforce the attention and attraction that we'd been enjoying from the humans".

"Come one, come all let us pulsate with energy to aspire for esteemed positions in the department of people's cuisine".

Thus every peeling of onion had expressed their feelings. Their concerted efforts to associate back with the humans will definitely materialize.
