True Friendship

Rohan and Tushar were two close friends. This story is about their friendship, which was true and genuine. They loved each other as friends. Their dosti was like that of Jai Viru of Sholay.

This story dates back to the period when there were many kingdoms in the Indian subcontinent and each was ruled by a king. The king had all the powers and he could also punish someone if he willed!

Once Tushar was caught by the guards when he was saying that the king of their kingdom was a tyrant and his imposed rules were very difficult to follow!

They took him before the king, who asked him that whether the allegations were correct!

Now Tushar was a truth speaker and never told lies. He admitted. The king gave him death sentence after a fortnight!

Rohan came to meet him in the prison. Tushar told him to take care of his parents after his death. As a last wish he wanted to meet them!

Rohan went and met the king and requested him to allow his friend to meet his parents.

The king was hypothetical and said that if he ran away then what!

To this Rohan said that till the time his friend returns, he would stay in prison in his place and if he does not return then he would die in his place!

The king could not believe his ears! However he agreed.

Tushar went and met his parents. Finally he parted from them with a heavy heart!

While returning to the palace, he was attacked by robbers while passing through a jungle!

The robbers took away everything and tied him to a tree!

With much difficulty, he managed to free himself and ran towards the palace.

When he reached, he saw that Rohan was just about to be hanged!

He shouted at the top of his voice and said 'Please stop! Look I have returned.

Please spare my friend and hang me as it was my destiny to be hanged!'

The king saw an excellent example of true friendship that day! The true love of these two friends exceeded even that of uterine brothers.

So the king set both the friends free! All the people present praised the king and hailed the friendship of Rohan and Tushar.

Really we get life from parents and love them and our brothers, sisters, spouse, children ; but our friend circle also forms an important part of our lives. Our friends infuse a new life into us. They rejuvinate us and are a source of happiness. Without them our lives become morose and gloomy!
