Welcome to India, a land of various cultures.

To fight and quarrel they're pretty quick.

Sometimes what they choose to ignore,

Is what they fight about when bored.

Yet this is a land of diversity,

And no less educational than a university.

You'll find a Catholic dancing in Ganpati,

And a Jain enjoying with friends on Pateti.

On Eid a Hindu relishing Sheer Khurma,

Or a Muslim dancing at a Garba.

We are different from each other,

Yet we know how to live together.

Respecting our interests and differences,

Even if we have a background of varying finances.

We are united, you just don't know,

It's one of those things that we don't show.

Look at us during any of the calamities.

You'll be surprised at the help we get,

Fund coming from every religion, don't forget!

People offering their roof to share,

In moments of grief and despair.

Such lovely is our country, my friend,

Singing its praises, won't ever end.

We are spread over miles apart,

Yet we are united, right here from the heart.
