I Almost Got Married

My relatives came to convince me to get married.

"You will have a pretty wife who will look after you and cook food for you," they said.

"I can get a cook," I said.

"You will have a cute son," they said.

"When he cries all night, it won't be any cute," I said.

"Together you people can buy a nice house and big cars too," they said.

"And pay the debt forever?" I asked.

"You will get bored. What will you do alone?"

"I will go on world tours and do my hobbies."

"Who will look after you in old age?"

"If I survive till old age, I am sure I will have saved enough with my modest bachelor life to afford professional medical care," I said.

"And your family line will end after you die?"

"After I die, I won't be bothered whether my family line turns into Presidents or Orangutans," I said.

"Any other reason why I should marry?" I asked.

They all looked at each other and then left. And to think I almost got married.
