Naughty Me

Deep at night

With a whisper and a sigh

In the darkness 

 With a torchlight.

I headed towards the place that I liked.

I looked all around

But nobody was found.

The clock ticking twelve

And no other sound.

Quietly I opened and there it was

That I was daylong waiting for.

The moment I took it out

It was soft and cold

Like two twin blocks of mountains of snow.

I just could not wait 

To take it with me

That there came the lights all suddenly.

My daughter looked at me and said

"Why don't you listen to me for a change instead?

How could I resist the strawberry and cream

Which was loaded on top of my ice cream?

So there was I

standing 

Scolded and caught 

by my own child.

 Her love and care for me is

What she could not hide.

We all go through this in our life

When we become children

And our kids become wise.
