Who knows

Who knows we might run into each other in a new city, where you will be standing taking refuge under a roof - craving for a cigarette and unable to get one, 

You look around and see the city has taken a bath and the stray dog finding certainly hard to stand and shivering in the middle of the road.

The school bus looks fresh, and the kids inside enjoying the drizzle taking their hands out as if they are going for a picnic.

The newspaper stall, all covered with plastic and the man standing covered in a raincoat - he looks larger news that he can sell on those tabloids.

But still, there is a halt, a sudden movement of the traffic and constant honking of the speeding vehicle, the red light becomes green and all hit the same direction at one go, looks like formula one!

the rainfall and the tea seller all look smiling for some reason,

they didn't win or lose they may be enjoying the things the way it is.

I look closely a small boy jumping on a puddle, a small space where water accumulated - his mom looks really agitated. 

I need a smoke, on an immediate basis.

I wish I could see you smirking beside me asking whether or not I need one.
