Eyes That Talk

You spoke to my heart-

Words it couldn’t decipher,

Languages it couldn’t recognise

Or were they symbols it couldn’t memorise;

Must’ve been the silent murmurs 

Or the snorting or snoring 

Gulps of air;

They’ve always seemed loveable to my eye

Probably filled with pending sleep

Probably filled with rosy love that deep;

Must’ve been the feelings

I couldn’t reconcile, 

Couldn’t have been through telepathic

Signals, for they wouldn’t escape this

Weak hearted romantic.

All I heard, was the unending love for me

Always left me wondering,

What more I had left to see.
