Flora & Fauna

We strive like plants.

From seed to seedling,

Seedling to pretty flower, or mighty tree.

Our face stares at the Sun,

Craving it’s warmth and light.

Needing it.

But without water, we don’t reach,

We don’t yearn, we don’t grow.

With unquenched thirst,

We don’t survive.

We are nothing but food for the birds,

And Nature’s fauna.
