Speechless Wounds

Speechless Wounds

Lay she wrapped in the crimson shroud all bright,

a big round dot of vermilion decked her face all night.

Carried she would be to the pyre for the final rites,

May this be an end to her miserable plight.

Her pale and placid visage spoke the untold dilemma,

Had she given me a nudge in a silent lemma?

She promised she would not harm herself knowingly,

Succumbed she had been to her gory fate confusingly.

Bewildered I brooded where I went wrong,

Yesterday only she sounded to me a little strong.

“Sorry I am, I could not come to stay with kids,”

Said she with her timid and fainting bid.

Darken remains our home once buzzing with glee,

Abandoned lie all fineries which once were her treasury.
