The Generations - Then And Now
The Generations - Then And Now
Child is the father of a man
It has been accepted
Down all ages, down all generations
A child is born
He sees the first light of the day
First look at the earth, sun and moon
First Sunshine and Darkness
Senses First Hunger and Thirst
And starts biological evolution
He starts crawling and walking
Learns alphabets and meaning
Then goes for schooling and
Process of standing on his own
And finally he grows up one day
He starts a new life and have progeny of his own
Years after, the parents grow old
Like child they now need care and more
When joint family was the norm
They continued as integral part of the family then
Today’s Generation is a generation in hurry
No time to sit back and carry forward the heritage
And here comes the concept of an Old Age Home
For each problem, we have a quick fix solution
There was a time
When a son went to forests relinquishing the throne
For fourteen prime years
With all pleasure of a dutiful son
For Gennext with individualism at the core of essence
This can never occur
Even in figment of imagination in Generation today
Times Change, Values Change
And Generations move on
