An Appointment
An Appointment
On a frowny winter month,
The morning will still be foggy,
Who the hell rises up so early?
No, cannot leave the quilt and its warmth.
Well, a light nudge to reach on time.
Have an appointment at 7.
Did I ignore the signals waving at me?
My mind is packed with silly ideas,
Exhausted body with an untold story,
Am I to be blamed for the discomfort?
My Body and mind are not in co-ordination.
I will live my life before it's late.
Have an appointment at 7.
Severe conditions prevail,
Because I have put myself at risk.
Is there any way to survive?
I will revert to childhood,
Before it's more delayed.
Running beside the waves of the ocean
To walk barefoot on the sand.
On the clear nights I gaze at the stars,
To soak in the glow of the moon.
Enjoying the rain & flying kites,
Lots of stuff I want to relish.
Have an appointment at 7.
Climbing trees to pluck mangoes,
Swimming across the pond for lotus.
Fishing with friends to rolling on the dusty road,
And planning secret trips.
Playing even after dark with no tension,
Who knows the outcome of my appointment?
I will greet happiness before 7 a.m.
I Will meet myself that day,
With no regrets in the pouch
But a zeal to fulfill my bucket list.
Reaching out to everyone and talking endlessly,
Wanting my fake relations to last miraculously.
But, I have not invited myself even for tea?
Never attempted to befriend me,
The one regret I may carry in my heart.
Need to make an extra attempt to retain the appointment at 7.
