First Time
First Time
Smart was her mother
And innocent was her learning
To compel me to send my daughter
To LKG of premium school.
Reluctant was she
With teary eyes
Not to leave her mother
For even a moment,
I took her to school,
Luring her to give chocolates and
Ice cream on her return.
Stranded was I on the gate to see teacher taking her inside
For the first time.
Worried was I to wait for her to come.
Time sprinted, and I was ready to give chocolates and ice cream to her.
She came and grabbed me,
Lolling her tongue to tell
That she would come daily,
But not without her mother
To stay with her inside.
Kissing her forehead
And handing the chocolate,
I returned home with her.
