That Black Day
That Black Day
The day lest anticipated, I still remember that day,
Shuddering behind the screens,
Gushing waves of murmurs and trembles,
People running helter-skelter,
Fearing the fading shimmer,
Unloading belligerent men and their armaments,
Commotion signaling red,
Prevailing lull so dreadful,
Awakening those bed-ridden,
Gunshots ruling the air,
Killing countless innocents,
Those hospital beds now left abandoned,
For the war that unfair and brutal,
I still remember that day,
Shuddering behind the screens.
