Happiness

What is happiness? I hear you say,

What helps us to smile, on those dreary days.

What sends a tingle through our bones,

What helps us talk in cheerful tones.

Happiness comes now and then,

We cannot be sure just when.

But when it's there, enjoy each hour,

Because happiness has such power.

Happiness is just like a magic penny,

Hold on tight, and you won't get any.

Lend it, spend it, give it away,

Then it comes right back to you.

Happiness is being home again,

Happiness is dancing in the rain,

Happiness is walking without any pain.

Life is really strange,

With a share of happiness,

Comes share of sorrow,

There is the uncertainty of tomorrow.

But, you play your part well,

Stay happy, don't dwell.

Happiness is a treasure,

When we do so, we get pleasure.

Some people try as hard as they can,

To steal it away, from another man.

But it is yours forever, it is yours to keep,

Don't let them take, something so deep.
