An ode to Time

I say to time I wish you were friendly,

you disappear when I need you,

you stay when you could have passed away.

Time this is an ode to you,

I have a few words to say to you,

you have lot of advice to give,

and people you take,

people you give,

and friendships you break.

Time you are unstoppable ,

but I wish you could stop for a day,

let me take in the springs' sweet wind a little longer,

let me feel the kiss as if it could last forever,

let me breathe a little longer,

let me feel as if I could last forever.

Time responds with a disappointed face,

I never run away,

but you don't appreciate me when I stay,

you created me and contain me on your hands,

you tell yourself what to do with your day and your lands,

time ain't got nothing to break,

you leave yourself,

and ask me to stay.
