Long Forgotten
Long Forgotten
Scattered, misplaced, ruined-
The words hardly did justice
To the sight that caught her eyes
And stopped the breath of her lungs.
‘What happened here!’, she was aghast,
Not knowing if she could handle
Finding the truth of her existence
After years of searching in vain.
Strewn across the floor, were proofs
That could lead her to the end of the tunnel;
Picking them one by one, she wiped her tears
Vowing to bring alive the history long forgotten.
